Responsibility for marketing of all Higher Education courses offered at the college by The University of Plymouth. All promotional literature - annual Higher Education brochure - student handbooks - production of print and local radio advertising.
Wrote and delivered HE seminars to local sixth form students.
Organised open day and attended all HE fairs with stand both nationally and locally to promote courses.
Involvement with internal steering committees and regional HE bodies.

Hayman Communications Group ( New York) 05 / 2001 to 09/ 2001
Worked (unpaid) alongside the creative director of Hayman Communication Group. Responsibilities included general office work but also sitting in on all meetings with clients and creative sessions. I assisted with the production of brochures for Pearson Education Group, promotional projects for Murray Hill Convention Centres for focus group administrators and many other clients. The most rewarding aspect of the experience was working daily with the creative director for 3 months. He had over 25 years experience as a creative for Madison Avenue advertising agencies, including 20 years at Young & Rubicam. It was by far the most interesting time in my professional life to date and the source of my inspiration to pursue a career in the field of writing.

Served as marketing and sales manager for this innovative start-up Internet based engineering firm. Dealt with sales negotiations and customer support with blue chip clients (Interbrew). Co-created a customer-personalised e-Store on a Linux platform in just 90 days. Wrote content for website, news feed, business plan, EU grant applications, press releases and brochures.
